Gunsgreen cellars – water free

Thanks to generous funding from the Community Led Local Development Fund, administered by Scottish Borders Council, remedial works have been carried out to resolve a problem involving water ingress to the Merchant’s House heritage cellars. Gunsgreen Trustee Ian Tod managed the project which kicked off with a report from Chartered Building Surveyors Adams Napier from Peebles. Repair work was carried out by local builders and electricians. It is hoped once the cellar area is completely dried out that this space could provide a temporary location for events.
